If you are taking Route 195 or from Points South, you first need to take the 95 north to the Broadway exit number 21. Then turn left. When you see the next traffic light, you need to turn left and go through 2 more traffic lights. At the third traffic light, you need to turn left on to Broad Street, which becomes Weybosset Street.
As you can see, getting to the Providence Performing Arts Center is quite easy.
You can’t really miss it as you just need to go to Rhode Island and from there you need to get yourself on to Providence. Once you reach Providence, you will see that it will be quite easy to find the Providence Performing Arts Center as it is a very popular building in the area. Just ask the locals here for direction and you will be pointed to the right way.
If you’re taking a car with you, you will be able to park at the Central Parking Garage, which is located on Weybosset Street. This is just directly across the Theatre at 233 Weybosset Street. Another parking are for patrons is available at the corner of Empire Street and Weybosset Street. This is just a block away from the theatre and from there you can just easily walk to the Providence Performing Arts Center.
Providence Performing Arts Center doesn’t just offer great shows. With their Community Outreach Committee, they created scholarship programs offered for children who are talented in performing arts. Sponsored by PPAC’ Annual Fund donors and Textron Inc, you will see that it will be able to award up to 500 dollars in assistance to Rhode Island students who won the scholarship.
In order to become eligible, your child should be at least aged 11 and should reside in Rhode Island. They should also be able to demonstrate artistic ability as well as interest. Also, they should need financial assistance and should submit a completed application.
